It is found in many fruits and vegetables has vit-A is good for health and eye health equally vital.

Green leafy vegetables

Green vegetables are full of antioxidants mainly lutein and zeaxanthin are good for age-related-degeneration of retina that is a leading cause of blindness mainly for old adults. These sources of antioxidants are spinach, broccoli, lettuce, collard greens (cabbage leaf).

Orange Coloured Fruits

The fruits contain vit-C good for maintaining better vision, it has essential antioxidant it plays good role on retinal degeneration, the fruits are papaya, mangoes, oranges, banana, bell peppers, along with these you can add in your daily diet red berries, blue barriers, watermelon, tomatoes.


It contain vit-C, vit-E on of the best source when it combines with Beta carotene and zinc has vital role to slow down the progress of age-related macular degeneration damages badly on central part of retina called macula that is our peak area of vision. Other options are almond, walnut, flaxseed.


The best source of vit-D, omega-3 fatty acids from cold water fish like salmon, mackerel, seafoods such as shrimp, crab it may reduce the progress of early ARMD.
